Art Class Information

Lessons are offered Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday

Time Early afternoon and after school

One hour art class catered to the ability of your child.

Weekly or biweekly options available

Location Bellcove Studio, my home art studio located in Briargate in Colorado Springs.

Ages 7+

Art Class Format

Art cultivates skills that children will use for the rest of their lives. As students practice art skills in my classes, I aim for my students to not only become excellent artists, but also to become great problem solvers and critical thinkers.

Students will learn basic drawing skills through fun and interactive drawing activities. These skills will be creatively applied to detailed drawings. Students will hone in on their hand-eye coordination and they will learn various pencil and coloring techniques.

As students progress through their art lessons, painting techniques will be introduced. Painting lessons will mainly focus on how to use various brushes and innovative materials to manipulate watercolor and tempera paint to create beautiful artworks!

Cost

Individual Art Class: $30 for an hour lesson

Class for Two: $50 for an hour lesson
(Class for Two is for two siblings or friends that parents have scheduled for the same time slot.)

Supplies

Students need to bring basic art supplies to each lesson. I will provide additional supplies as needed.

There are two options for supplies:

1. Students can purchase their own art supplies and bring them to class. Click here to view the supply list.

2. For $60, I can provide all supplies in a tote bag for the student. Click here to purchase this option.

COVID precautions

Right now I am limiting lessons to one student only or two students whose parents have scheduled together for the same time slot.

Since lessons are held in my home art studio, and I have a baby at home, I am asking that all students be extra precautious. If your child is sick (or is home on quarantine from school), please keep them home from art class!

To help with sanitization, all shared art supplies and surfaces will be cleaned before each lesson. All students will be asked to wash their hands before class. My studio also has a HEPA air purifier to help filter out viruses and allergens from the air.
